As mentioned on our News & Events page, the Heritage Plaque commemorating the village’s entry into the Domesday Book has been officially unveiled.  Thanks are due to all those, too many to mention, who worked hard to bring this project to fruition. This Group’s first project has now been completed.

The Red Telephone Box project is still in progress. We have now received confirmation from the Parish Council that given the continued use of the public phone it is prepared to act as guarantor for the line rental.  To that end, the Parish Council will be starting negotiations BT and the Implementation Committee, with the help of the Heritage Group, will be seeking to secure the required funds to purchase and install the traditional K6 phone box. We shall keep you informed of developments.

The recording and cataloguing of the oral history of the parish is still making very good progress.  We intended to make some of the recordings available on the Parish Website as soon as we are able to do so.

Also in the sights of the Heritage Group are the restoration of the Village Well, the Church clock and railings.  These are at their early stages of investigation.
