Special Announcement

Over 50 people joined the Guided Autumn Walk on Sunday 25th October which was followed by a soup and dessert meal.  The event, which was held on a lovely sunny day, was enjoyed by everyone and raised £256 for Parish Plan projects.  A big “Thank You” has to go to Frank Paul for staking out and leading the walk and to Ingrid Parsons, Alison Blackborow, Kate Layton and their many helpers for organising the event and tasty meal.

Heritage Group

Telephone Kiosk
Work to our specification on the K6 phone box has started at the renovation company.  Ours will be the first traditional red phone box to go back into service in a UK village.  This is at a time when the national trend is in the other direction and the press are interested.

Church Clock
The Church Council has now approved the clock renovation.  Apologies that we had told you last month that fund raising for this project was complete – we still need more funds but once this is in place we shall press on with the work on the clock, the auto-wind and night silencer.

Oral History
We have four new interviews recorded and some interesting new material on the Music Camp and Old Shops in the village.
