Fresh ideas are always welcome, so if you feel you can contribute in any way, however small, why not contact anyone from the Parish Plan Implementation Team who will be glad to hear from you or send an e-mail to The Parish Plan and a member of the team will answer your query.

Some of the many other projects that are currently in hand are:-
Replacing of the modern BT telephone kiosk with the traditional
Red Box known as the K6 Kiosk
Restoring the
Church Clock to full working order
Restoring the
Village Well
Inter-village
cycle-ways and footpaths
Traffic calming measures at the entry points to the village
A
Village Design Statement.

Additionally, there is a large number of other projects that are yet to be started which are likely to suit a variety of interests.

All these projects and activities are open to everyone; they are exciting and fun and offer an ideal opportunity to meet new and interesting people within the parish whilst contributing positively to life in it.

Your involvement can be for as little or as long as you would like it to be; from for a few hours, on a one off basis, to a few hours or even days a month on a regular and longer term basis. The choice is yours.

The Hampstead Norreys Parish Plan, which was adopted by West Berkshire Council on October 2007, was published and distributed to all parishioners in early 2008.

It sets out the vision of what the community wants to see done to improve life in the parish.  A copy of the Parish Plan and its associated Action Plan are available on this web site..

Amongst the many projects that have been completed to date are: the formation of a Village Business Group; a Breakfast Club at the Village School for under 11 year olds; a plaque commemorating the entry of Hampstead Norreys in the Domesday Book; the recording and archiving of the oral history of Parish residents, both current and former. There is also the compilation of the Railway History of Hampstead Norreys supported by a video clip and the research and recording the History of the Village. Also completed is the clearing and re-planting of the Well Garden; hedge and daffodil planting around the village and regular village litter picks. Recently there has been the formation of a limited liability Community Shop Company that is now working towards the opening of a shop in the village by autumn 2010. The fitting of a Vehicle Activated Speed sign on the Compton Road has also taken place since the formation of the Parish Plan.
